About

M & S Manufacturing

We are an American company that only buys from the USA and all of our labor is in the USA.

M&S Manufacturing opened in August of 2016, officially marking the transition from a dream and a vision to a fledgling precision CNC machine shop.

Our humble beginnings originated in a shared building with 2 used lathes and an agreement to manufacture parts for a local custom powersports builder.

Fast forward to 2024, and today M&S Manufacturing operates out of a 89,000 sq ft facility in Monticello, Iowa with 7 industrial band saws, 20 lathes, 3 Swiss turn machines and 6 vertical mills.

We have supplied customers from New York to California with precision machined products, supplying component parts for motorcycles, firearms, gear boxes and hydraulic cylinders, to name just a few.

As the rapid pace of technological developments continues to increase, we believe that the demand for precision machining capabilities will only grow as a result.

This trend will continue to hold true across all industries and market sectors. M&S Manufacturing is positioned well to respond to customer needs in this environment.

We are dedicated to innovation, rapid response times, and precision. We also firmly believe in cultivating strong relationships with both vendors and customers, establishing robust coordination up and down the supply chain.

Mike & Dan

Dan & Mike

Dan and Mike have been working together for more than 15 years, like ying and yang when it comes to solving problems whether that be mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or any other issue. It never fails what one doesn’t know or understand the other does. Dan and Mike worked for a European company together before M&S MFG. When Mike decided that he wanted to put a couple machines in a small building Dan was all for it, and for a couple of years they worked their day job and on their off days would go work at the shop, often for 24 plus hours straight. At least until Dan’s loving wife said no more 24-hour shifts.

Mike decided that he needed to focus on the shop and by this time we had more machines and work. Dan stayed working for the European company for another year before leaving and has been working for Mike at M&S MFG ever since. Dan and Mike work so well together because of their long work history and are able to effectively bounce ideas off one another. Mike says “this place has a lot of good stuff and processes because of the dedication Dan has to the plant. It wouldn’t have been the same if he hadn’t been involved. And for that I am truly grateful for every day that Dan works here and leads his maintenance team. He and his team are always making improvements that help and effect the plant in a positive way.”
Dan is now the Director of Facilities, and second in command after Mike.
